This site was formally a petrol station which had been demolished prior to Bryen & Langley taking possession of the site.

The works included construction of a new ground floor retail unit with 7 no. flats above, together with external works and mechanical & electrical services.

  • Excavation & formation of piled foundations and RC ground floor slab

  • Formation of RC ground to first floor construction

  • Timber frame construction to first and second floors

  • Brick/block cavity walls from ground to first floor level

  • Wetherby render finish to first to second floors

  • Single ply flat roof construction

  • Velfac aluminium / timber composite windows and external doors

  • Steel cantilever beams to form walkways

  • Associated mechanical & electrical works, including external water booster enclosure

  • Construction of two structured steels stair towers with Marley Eternity cladding

  • Secured by Design entrance door to stair towers

Works to the retail unit were limited to formation of the shell only with a raised slab area, drainage points, new incoming gas & electricity mains and water supply plus first floor plant area.

The external shopfront and escape door were installed by approved specialists.
